Investing in Capability, Talent, and the Future of Nuclear Fabrication
Berry & Escott Engineering, an approved supplier to EDF and the MEH Alliance at Hinkley Point C, continues to expand its footprint and influence within the UK nuclear supply chain. With over 30 years of experience and a reputation for precision-led delivery, the Bridgwater-based firm is investing in the future, from stainless steel fabrication to skills development and stakeholder collaboration.
In response to growing demand from nuclear clients, Berry & Escott expanded its operations with a 2,500 sq ft unit dedicated to high-integrity stainless steel work. The facility enhances the company’s capacity to deliver across all grades, with rigorous cross-contamination controls and tailored customer service built in. It also includes specialist equipment, additional office space, and meeting rooms to support continued growth and engagement with sector partners.
From bespoke large-scale assemblies to high-quality batch production, Berry & Escott’s technical portfolio reflects the evolving needs of the nuclear sector. The company’s Fit For Nuclear (F4N) status, alongside ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and CE Marking to BS EN 1090 (EXC3), underlines its commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
But Berry & Escott’s investment goes beyond infrastructure. With 11 apprentices currently learning and contributing across the business (and two more joining later this year) the company is actively shaping the next generation of engineering talent. Apprenticeships remain central to its long-term strategy, reinforcing its role as a regional employer and skills champion.
Directors Lee Berry and Chris Escott bring over 40 years of combined experience to the business, blending design flair, technical rigour, and a deep understanding of customer needs. Their leadership continues to drive innovation, responsiveness, and a culture of partnership values.
Berry & Escott’s expansion is a clear signal of confidence in the sector’s future. As nuclear projects progress and regional capability grows, the company stands ready to support delivery with agility, expertise, and a commitment to excellence.
